This Maya plugin effectively simplifies dense animation graphs (e.g. motion capture data) into editable graphs while approximating the original graphs with a reduced number of keys and their tangents. Compared to Maya's default "Simplify curve" function, this method provides more intuitive and accurate simplification.
Please take a look at "Manual.pdf" just for 1 minute before you use this plugin.
With this limited version, you can interactively simplify Maya animation graph while keeping its original shape. In the full-version of vmGS plugin, you can 1) simplify multiple graphs simultaneously, 2) automatically adjust tangents on the keyframes to approximate the original graph, 3) keep user-specified keyframes on the simplified graphs. Release of the full-version is restricted by the patent issue for the moment. We will work on this.
The plugin is compiled for Maya 2011 64bit and 2012 64bit in Windows. We hope you enjoy the plugin :)
