It allows you to group attributes together so they all move as one, or move with a different scale and/or offset.
To use it you must have defined and selected a characterSet containing any attributes you want to control in this fashion.
With this tool, you can quickly move set or adjust of attributes, but then still have the freedom to individually adjust them, and then adjust the group again while maintaining the offset of the adjusted one, e.t.c., all the while having only the one set of keys to manage.
The ability to group the same attributes in different ways is also very useful.
Also includes a feature to automatically mirror a pose - great for walk-cycles - just specify the part of the name that marks it left or right, and watch it go. This affects only the current attribs in the list so can be used to mirror only parts of poses also. Allows for swapping sides or copying one side onto the other or vice versa.
Tested on winXP, Maya6.5 and 7.0, but should work on other OS's/most versions too. (c:
