BackFromFive is a scene exporter.
It lets you transfer basic object information between different versions of 3ds max using a MAXScript intermediate format.
No importer is required - the utility generates a set of MAXScript files. When run as a regular script, the main .ms file recreates the exported scene as close as possible.
