The purpose of the mel is just to save a number of files (defined by the user) that have different start/end/step values
for render. So, you can launch a render command with each file on each machine you may have (without the start/end
parameters). It should work with Maya render and Mental Ray for Maya render commands. If both animation and frame range
parameters from Mental Ray render globals are activated, then these start/end values will be used. If not, then Maya
render globals start/end parameters will be used.
