hi, i am new to maya, i just pasted this to edtior and ctrl+enter and this came up at the end, was expecting a menu of some sort. Anyways, hope it helps

hey l3ordo, I guess you pasted it in a MEL script editor, not PYTHON script editor, try to create a new Tab in the Script Editor window and specify "Python", then paste and run.
