This script allows to get Shading Group from a selected polygon and to assign it to other polygons without using Hypershade
1. Make sure the PYTHONPATH environment variable is set properly in the maya.env file or the script may not run properly. 2. Add this code to Shelf: python("import getComponentShader; getComponentShader.getComponentShader()"); 3. To get Shading Group: Select polygon and press on button 4. To set Shading Group: Select polygons and CTRL + press on button
