Maya 2016 compatibility?

Was wondering if this script works with Maya 2016 ext 1? I just tried the script in Maya 2016 ext 1 and it doesn't seem to be working. If it should be working, please let me know. Thanks!

It seems to work when you run the command from the script editor, but not through a hotkey. Strange.
