Snap by suffix

Would be nice to have the snapping function work on suffixes. That way I wouldn't be restricted to name my nodes exactly like in the snap node list. Example: I could name "namespace:myObject_geo" instead of "namespace:geo" or "namespace:myControl_ctl" instead of "namespace:ctl".

Good idea. How would you handle multiple similar suffix? like myControl_ctl and myOtherControl_ctl? Which one to snap? Thanks! Alex

For a simple solution, I'd just take the first node I find - the hierarchical and alphanumerical top one. For a more advanced one, let the user explicitly choose with a nice little modal "snap to?" dialog. Marcus
