  #select meshes and run import maya.cmds as cmds cmds.polySelectConstraint( mode=3, type=8, size=3 ) Much faster and can be ran on multiple objects. Also, look in Mesh->Clean. There's an option to select faces with more than 4 sides. But glad you had fun at least ;).
