This script will allow you to retime a (singular file cache) fluid.

Currently the fluid (like particles) is connected to time so it plays back and evaluates. Once you have done an un-segmented cache, you can select your fluid and run the script. It will create a fluidRetimer float attribute on the transform node of the fluid and the connect it to the hidden attribute on the fluid shape node called currentTime (same as particles). Once this is setup you can then keyframe the fluidRetimer attribute by hand to speed up, slow down or even do a slow motion version of your simulation.

A benefit to this is that IF you have retimed a fluid and don't like it (and want to go back and break the cache as well as restore the default connections to the fluid) you can go back and select the fluid, rerun the script and it will restore the fluid back to its default state.

I hope you find this script useful, its definitely been beneficial for me in making fluids simulate a little more accurately.
