Transform Setup messed up after Crash

Hey guys,

I am working with spPaint3d in Maya 2016 and have a little issue. After Maya crashed the tool reset itself after I restarted Maya. Now I can't get the the transform setup to work again.

No matter what I put in as scale - it's always sizing the painted objects between 0.1 and 1. I solved the problem by deleting all the painted objects and started from scratch. Now I did half of my scene and I dont want to delete it again.

Do you have a tip for me how to solve this?

My settings:
instances + Hierchary Managemtn -> Source sorted group(s)
