this image was created a looong time back, sometime around may 2004!! it was made for a collaborative challenge over at cgtalk named Evolution.
it was about having 1 designer and one 3d artist get together and create a finished 3d-model. the first price was to have it printed as a maquette at 3darttopart..... and we WON!!! yippaaaah!

here's how the finished maquette ended up looking like:
this maquette is meant to be in color, and I'll do it one day.. but right now I don't have the colors to do so.. ;)

very nice work,I was ondering where you got the idea from, and also wat modelling tecnique did u use to model the objects ie splines or box modelling etc....I would love to model in this kind of genre honestly..check my website out www.qippy.com
