appendToPolygon UVs 1.0.0 for Maya (maya script)

When using appendToPolygon the newly created polygons have random UVs. This script moves the UVs to where the UVs of the adjacent Vertices are and sews them.

How to use it ?

Please explain how to use the script ((shall I select UVs or edges or polygons or the whole model)) ??
I am on Maya 2019 & the script always gives me this error message
 
# Error: TypeError: file <maya console> line 4: object of type 'NoneType' has no len()

    Select the faces you created using Appendto Polygon tool and convert selection to verts.
    Then run the script. (works this way on 2018)
