What's the licensing on this guy tho? Can it be used for a short film or commercial content? OK, quick review. I didn't mess with it much, so my review is rather shallow.. Here we go: Cute but very slow. It doesn't have a complex facial setup, so I don't understand why I only get around 7 FPS in Legacy Viewport, even less in 2.0. I'm using Maya 2017. Not only the whole rig, but even moving the spine around is slow. It's a fancy setup, but I wonder how much of that fanciness is really useful for the animator. A fast rig is, for me, much more animator friendly. I don't need reverse feet and fancy finger setups, but I do need real time rigs, ideally faster than real time, for multiple characters in a scene. What I think is important is having a solid rig, clean, easy to use, with the essential features there, fast.. with the ability to turn off anything slow.. So for example when I select everything I'm able to select pupil geometry.. now.. I understand this is beta, but it's been beta since forever, and it only takes a few minutes to tidy up your rig a bit before posting it online. If I select all and 0 0 0 bad things happen, basically, which is unacceptable. And one more thing, if I plant a foot somewhere, I expect it to stay there no matter what else I move around the rig. Like the hips. Same for hands. A good animation rig should be segmented, so that once you pose a segment, and move on to another segment, nothing changes in what you've previously posed. Or else you have to chase that up and redo your work, and find ways to not move things that will break other things.. it's not how I'd want to animate.
