AUSTIN, TX - September 15, 2005 - Bareknuckle Software today announced the immediate availability of ImageWrangler, the premier tool for managing image sequences. A time-limited demo is available for download from the company's website. ImageWrangler features an intuitive interface that allows users to quickly manipulate a sequence of images as easily as a single file. It is built on a robust sequence identification algorithm, and is both fast and lightweight. ImageWrangler also integrates seamlessly with most popular image viewers and flipbook utilities.

Features include:
  • rename, copy, move and delete images and image sequences
  • easily renumber and "repad" image sequences
  • merge multiple sequences
  • bookmark commonly used directories
  • seamlessly launch external viewing applications

    Just purchased ImageWrangler.

The interface is very easy to use and we have picked the software up very quickly.

I believe this has been an important purchase for our production pipline.

Very interesting piece of software, tough i made my windows explorer bahave thisway ages ago okay so i need to put sequences into directories that appear as files, launch as image sequances in framecycler, fcheck, qt or shake just as if they were files (and yes renaming thisway can be done too but takes a bit more doing). So atleast that fuctionality is easily added to windows for free (and yes they have thumbnails).

So yeah its a bit of wierd thing to sell but i suppose for the price its okay. NOt the most brilian innovation tough.

Anyway personaly i use picasa for handling images along with the explorer., now picasa is a much more innovative soft too bad it does not handle image sequances like this

I can't speak to the ease or difficulty of getting all these features setup in just windows, but this program is filled with a lot of things I have trouble working without. The way it handles sequences, of anything not just images, is very intuitive. Your ability to move files around and rename and copy entire image sequences is much more powerful than any time I've tried to do it in windows. Selecting a thousand frames and then dragging them to another folder often brings windows to it's knees, this prog burns right through it.

I also don't know of ways of filtering files like you can with Image Wrangler. You can show only sequences, only still images. There are so many features. I seriously have switched from Windows explorer, exclusively to this program.

Just my two cents. It's very much worth twice the purchase price. Check it out.
