22" Widescreen 3D monitors, have joined to create a new contest for 3D artists!
One talented winner will receive a brand new iZ3D 22" Widescreen 3D
Monitor. iZ3D has turned to the creative community at highend3d.com to
create an exciting animated banner utilizing 3D graphics for its new
marketing campaign.
The 22" iZ3D is an advanced video monitor capable of displaying
impressive into-screen and out-of-screen 3D images with passive
polarized glasses. iZ3D is designed to replace standard two-dimensional
monitors while maintaining commercial image quality and display
brightness. iZ3D supports long-time viewing without causing fatigue or
eyestrain. This advanced technology takes existing three dimensional
applications such as PC games, 3D entertainment and professional stereo
applications and allows users to experience 3D animation in a way they
never could with a standard two-dimensional ("2D") monitor.
Contest Description:
iZ3D is looking for the best original animated banner utilizing 3D graphics and creative marketing. The banner must be 160x600, less then 100kb
in file size and achieve iZ3D's goals. The contest will start February
27th and run through March 24th. The winner will be chosen by iZ3D and
will receive a brand new iZ3D 22" monitor. There are no limits to the
amount of submissions one user can make. Submissions must made via this submission form.
iZ3D goals to reach:
- Visually attractive animated Banner
- Appeal to CG artists (both professional and hobbyists)
- Contains original, attention grabbing messaging for the CG artist audience
For informational purposes: The immediate application for the
monitor is that it plays games in 3D, so while there are many other
applications in development, 3D gaming is already here. Also, the
monitor is capable of playing certain formats of 3D DVDs.
Demographics:
a) CG Hobbyists - Since games offer the most popular 3D content
available now, we are hoping that 3D hobbyists play games for the
visual experience. True 3D is definitely an amazing experience and we
feel CG hobbyists will understand and embrace the technology.
b) CG professionals - The iZ3D monitor allows them to see the 3D
models they design in real 3D. We are also hoping they play games from
time to time and will enjoy a new visual experience as well. Game
developers are also included in this category.

Entry Requirements:
There are a few minimum requirements that determine whether an entry can be accepted.
- All contestants must be 13 years of age or older as of January 1, 2008 to participate.
- All entries must be files in (SWF) format.
- Each file must be available for download with a release for iZ3D to
use your entry on our site and for our marketing purposes indefinitely.
- The designer/contest entrant must own the copyright for all content
or post authorization to use copyrighted or use-restricted content that
includes approval for rule 5.
- Each entrant must grant iZ3D the exclusive right to use and display the banner for marketing purposes.
