Subject: Render layers and texture reference objects

Is it possible to create more than one texture reference object in a scene that has render layers?

I have a deforming object that has a 3D texture as a displacement map on it. With only one layer this would be a simple case of creating a texture reference object to have the displacement lock to the surface. But with three layers (color, depth, occlusion) this doesn't seem possible.

If I attempt to create a texture reference for a second render layer I get a warning message about existing incoming connection...

Any way to do this, or are you limited to only one layer?

One solution is to have a copy of your object with the same animation
(either with copyPointPositions or outMesh->inMesh connection) and plug
different reference objects to it.
Not really elegant, but will do. Somehow I never had occasion to use
reference objects in production...

cheers

Actually, it seems that if you put your tex ref object on every layer, it renders fine. I hadn't thought of this simple step and assumed it would be necessary to create multiple text ref. objects....
