Heavy Artillery Tank Model

Image Completion Time: About two weeks working in spare time.

Heavy Artillery Tank Model, created in 3Ds Max and textured in Photoshop. I wanted to capture the essence of a beaten up, hardworking desert vehicle. Had a lot of fun texturing this one. The model was comped into a quick 2D scene and colour corrected using photoshop. I intend to create a proper desert environment for an animation with this model. Comments Welcome.  See my website for more details on this, such as texture layout / UV samples.

Looks fantastic and what a behemoth of a BEAST.. I'd be very freekin' scared if I knew it was 10 miles from my town and approaching. I imagine where it's strong in distance attack it must be weak close up so maybe throw in some local guns for protection. :-)

hehe yea, I guess these guys would be operating behind the front line, so they might be fairly safe.. could add a few turrets tho :)

What a Beast! I'd call it Leviathan, lol. That name fits perfectly. One thing though, add some sort of retractable support at the back, 'cause the recoil seems to be capable of blasting the whole contraption back a few hundred metres. Other than that, a great creation.

Great textures! I see that your education pays itself! I like the asteroid robot from your reel...

reminds me of the art from the game Quake Wars. Good job.

Pixelrod took the words right from me. I really want to see this in a user map release now. What were your references, if any, for this? If you are familiar with the upcoming game at all (PC/ XBox 360), it fits in perfectly with ET:QW's GDF vehicle style and color palette. Very well done, sir.
