Full Version: RPF or RLA files from XSI?

Is there any other format that XSI can export other than pics that hold extra 3D data? There's a lot more information saved in an RPF file than a pic allows, and it's all one file instead of a bunch of different files.

I know you can export an MI2 file, but I don't know much about that. Does that contain 3D metadata and who can use MI2 files?

No, there is no way, beside the options you can check like Z, tags, motion vectors and so on. This create additional files that some compositing packages can use.

About the RLA/RPF thing, I asked the same question to Softimage and they said there is no way you're gonna see this soon. This is something that has to be implemented by mental images and it seems they don't wish to do so. Duh.
